We are seeking a Leasing Agent/Tenant Relations Representative to become a part of our team! The successful candidate will assist in the management of a portfolio in Bloomington, Indiana consisting of multi-family units comprised of both single-family houses and multi-tenant buildings. Previous experience in the industry a plus but not required. If you are:

Responsibilities:

• Collect rent, prepare and distribute 10-day notices, record rent collections
• Use Appfolio (preexisting knowledge of system not required) to record tenant notes, create work orders and track delinquencies
• Investigate and resolve tenant complaints
• General resident relations, be on call anytime to field tenant phone calls / texts
• Coordinating maintenance requests from tenants / overseeing engineer repairs
• Regular email correspondence / updates
• Enforce property rules and regulations
• Facilitate tenant move ins and move outs
• Execute leases, key distribution, unit walk- thru

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in property management or other related fields
• Must own a reliable, insured vehicle-Must own and be proficient with an email equipped smart phone
• Familiarity with real estate contracts and leases
• Must have a strong work ethic, good communication skills and be well organized
• Ability to build rapport with tenants
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• While the primary job occurs Mon - Fri during normal business hours, must be able to be reached by tenants on nights and weekends in emergencies
• College degree or 3+ years industry experience-Knowledge of Section 8 program a plus
